Brylee: Hi, I’m Brylee Romney — wife, mom (of all the things), and writer. I’ve always loved psychology (just a step away from finishing my bachelor’s) and I’m endlessly fascinated by the mysteries of the human mind. My current project, Whispers Through the Walls, is a novel inspired by my great-grandmother Rebecca. Her life was shaped by hardship, silence, and mental illness — pieces of her story passed down in whispers and fragments. With imagination, research, and heart, I’m piecing together what was left unsaid, exploring how silence and resilience ripple across generations. Here, I’ll be sharing chapters as I write them. My hope is to honor her memory, give voice to untold stories, and open space for conversations about family, legacy, and mental health.
